Seriously though, the hell gun can get regular double and triple kills. High RPM Machine gun is one of the best horde weapons due to it's really high holding potential.
You should have at least one or two auto weapons, for this level I'd pick AR's over smg type weapons, but the pistols is a good substitute because each shot is a stagger on little guys. Pistol has great stagger, Hel gun is absolutely insane for D1, destroys the reactor, and any enemies that group up in the hallway.
